Thunderbird 3.1.10 + Lightning 1.0b2 (b4 not available for x86_64 :-()
I sometimes receive meeting requests in the form of VCALENDAR entries with a MIME-type of "text/x-vcal". Thunderbird/Lightning consistently fails to pick these up (i.e. I cannot accept or decline), and the in-line view is just a plain text dump of the VCALENDAR attachment.
If I modify the message to have a "text/calendar" attachment, TB/L recognizes the invitation just fine.
Other people with e.g. Outlook, Apple Mail or Evolution have no such problems.
Unless the sending application is buggy and the other mail clients are wrong in accepting invitations contained in text/x-vcal attachments, I consider this a bug in Thunderbird/Lightning.
I'll attach copies of a message that doesn't work, and one that works.

Note that the only difference with attachment 542133 [details] is that this one has attachments with type "text/calendar" instead of "text/x-vcal".
