Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv7.0a1) Gecko/20110627 Firefox/7.0a1 Fennec/7.0a1 Device: HTC Flyer OS: Android 2.3 1. go to http://mobile.nytimes.com/article?a=809487&f=20 2. go to a line that has white space above and below for easier visibility in this bug 3. try to tap on a word Expected: it's easy to get the correct selected word Actual: sometimes the highlight might not appear, sometimes it appears on the word above or below. Note: Selecting the white space above will select the last word in that line before the white space Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOktolnmF28

in the video you're pretty clearly pressing on the white space there between the lines. What would you expect fennec to do?

Fennec is doing exactly what we are telling it to do. If you were to double click in desktop firefox in the same places, you would see the same results.
