Mozilla web devs use GitHub to manage websites and nightly.mozilla.org is something the webdev team (specifically, currently: me :-) ) should "own". Currently the site is in Mozilla's Mercurial setup, which the webdev team isn't as familiar with in terms of both process and use (i.e. using Mercurial).

I would like to move the nightly.mozilla.org scraper script from hg /webtools/nightly to a git repo on GitHub so webdev could manage it easier.

I think that's a good idea. We use github for web projects routinely now, so at the very least for the sake of consistency and simplicity I'd just move that repo to github.

Depending on what history is in that repo, it might make sense to make sure this is transferred along with it.

There hasn't been any movement on this in a month. Let's assume that if there aren't any objections by the end of the week, that this is good to move over to GitHub.

I've created a repo (nocturnal -- https://github.com/mozilla/nocturnal) on GitHub and let IT know that the location of this code has changed. I'll close this bug once IT is pulling from git instead of hg.
