On www.verizon.net, I left-clicked the User ID input box and then It wouldn't show what I typed. There are a lot of people who use verizon.net.

You are using which build/version ?
You mean http://verizon.net and the login at the right side called "My Verizon Sign In" ?
Typing worksforme with Seamonkey trunk and FF5.0 on win7/32

I just checked it again and it works the same as before, i.e., doesn't work. The page you end up on for the "My Verizon Sign In" is
http://www22.verizon.com/Foryourhome/MyAccount/Unprotected/UserManagement/Login/Login.aspx
When I run "check for updates" from Help->About it just says "5.0" and "Up to date" I don't know how to get all the version information that used to be read into bugzilla, I think.
You are right about "My Verizon Sign In" on the right of the page. I am using Windows 7 64-bit though. Shouldn't cause this kind of difference in behavior. I would say that since we're both running a 32-bit FF this difference shouldn't be happening. I'll try without add-ons.

Please try it in the Firefox safemode: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
>When I run "check for updates" from Help->About it just says "5.0"
I asked because you have a "FF v.5.0b" in the summary (the "b" is confusing)

I did a safe mode-restart and it now worksformetoo. One of my add-ons must be causing the problem. I have to restart to see which add-ons are normally enabled, then I'll leave another comment saying what they are.

What's "the summary"? It is a beta version - 5.0b.

5.0 final is out for a week or so.
You will not get the final version with an update if you are on the beta channel.

I got 5.0 and I'm not finding the problem using it. If I see anything I'll write it down here.

grog: Thanks. Are there "guidelines" on the wiki when to close such issues by triagers?

I restarted Firefox 8.0 with add-ons disabled - no problem, worksforme. Must be one of my add-ons that is interfering. Thank you for your help.

Hi Andy,
Sorry so late. I know next to nothing about triage - am on the bug-reporting end of things. I looked in Google, though, and found a few things that might be helpful. Steve.
