668939 - Mailing List selects wrong user

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.6; Linux) KHTML/4.6.4 (like Gecko) SUSE

Steps to reproduce:

Create a new mailing list by adding email address to card ( contact already exists in Personal Addressbook. after says Ok, and then displaying users in mailing list, it selects wrong user when the email address is used by two people.

Example: 
  users: Jo-Ann xxxx@[e-mail]
            Norman xxxxx@[e-mail]
enter email address for [e-mail] and it selects Jo-Ann, first one in Personal addressbook alphabetically. I want Norman.

Running openSUSE 11.4, KDE 4.6.4 Release 8, SeaMoney 2.1





Actual results:

Selects Jo-Ann every time. I assume this is because it is first entry in Personal addressbook.

Problem also occurred on SeaMonkey 2.0.14. Do not remember it happening on version before 2.0.14 (I think 2.0.10). Also have seen similar problem on kmail, but it was right in list but got changed on actual sending. Appears fix with later kmail.


Expected results:

Should ask which entry you want or allow toy to put name in and look for name in personal addressbook.?

I haven't a clue what we are talking about. And that are very strange email addresses.

If the problem still does exist for you please:
a) Contribute a problem related step by step instruction containing every 
   key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem due to 
   <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines>
   (similar to report in Bug 1139273)
b) Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the 
   problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
   into a OOo or LibreOffice DRAW document and to add comments 
   that explain what you want to show (attach .png or PDF from source document)
c) add information 
c1) concerning your OS (Version, Distribution, Language)
c2) concerning your SM localization (UI language, Locale setting)
c3) SM settings that might be related to your problems 
c4) how you launch SM (Double click on document? console? …)
c5) everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts
g) An address book export containing those addresses as attachment

@Reporter: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you still can reproduce the problem with a current SeaMonkey version and a current OS and if you can contribute a step by step instruction (containing every key press and every mouse click) how to reproduce the problem reliably.
