User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0
Build ID: 20110615151330

Steps to reproduce:

When opening FF, the window position is usually restored as it was in the previous session. However, this does not happen immediately - during startup, the restored tabs start loading, and a second or two later, the window is moved.

Actual results:

If FF receives instructions "from the outside" to open another page during this process (before the window is restored), it forgets to restore the window position. (Examples are clicking on a couple of links in another application - the first click will start FF, the following ones will open the links as new tabs).

Expected results:

It might help to restore the window position earlier in the startup sequence?
In fact, a further test shows that it is enough that FF is opened from another application (i.e. with a URL) for the window position not to be restored. No need for multiple links or timing issues.
Could this be a dupe of bug 542839?
