Steps to reproduce:
downloaded an email (foxtrot comic strip subscription) from my hotmail account and opened it.
Actual results:
the subject line was empty and the body of the email started with:
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: FoxTrot 07/03/2011 MIME-Version: 1.0 Errors-To: errors@myucomics.com X-Uclick-UID: 15b65db755f28f6fdaf5a935b584ca4e Return-Path: list-1309694067.2859@myucomics.com X-OriginalArrivalTime: 03 Jul 2011 15:20:32.0607 (UTC) FILETIME=[BFFFFEF0:01CC3994]
followed by the rest of the email content
Expected results:
subject should have been displayed in both the email list view and email preview window

Does it go away if you rebuild the index of the folder where the email is stored ?

no, it does not make any difference
file was modified in a text editor to change my email address but other then that I have not changed it
I had no problems receiving these messages in thunderbird3(using webmail extension)

RFC822 define the boundary limit between headers and mail body as being a blank line, we are just doing this with the email you attached.
So either we had an issue while downloading it, or something is corrupt on your server and we got it from there.

my server is hotmail and it only happens with emails from this sender

can you ask him to send me an email mentioning this bug number ?

it is a comic strip subscription, so I can't ask them to send you anything. You could always go to http://www.gocomics.com/foxtrot and subscribe temporarily though. This comic goes out every weekend(sunday), but it might work with another daily comic strip as well.
FYI restarting in safe mode with all plugins disabled and rebuilding the index also does not fix the problem. I thought maybe the "configdate" add-on was causing it but that does not seem to be the case(also, this addon worked in tb3).

hmmm that's odd! the foxtrot email I just received today displays fine, but when I view the other emails they still display wrong. repairing folder does nothing.
