For the launch of the new affiliates program later this month, we'd also like to offer Firefox mobile affiliate buttons. Jaclyn will be filing the corresponding copy bug. We'd like to offer two different copy options in the following shapes: 300x250, 160x600, 125x125 in several colours (blue, orange and green). If there's any style we've used for other mobile marketing, please go ahead and use that. Jaclyn, please jump in here and let Tara and I know if there's a particular visual style you have in mind. There will be some localizations of this coming as well. I'll get Stas on those as soon as we have the copy finalized. In terms of timeline, if we can have the design by mid next week, we should be able to get it into the system in time for launch.

Hey guys In terms of design, I think these should echo existing buttons we have for Firefox (we have two styles in a few different colors including orange/red, blue, and green). But update/evolve those as appropriate for mobile. Sorry but mid-next week is going to be a bit tough right now. I can ping our designer Monique who did the other buttons to see if she can help crank things through. But that's going to be tight especially given the work week. When would be the next ideal date to get these handed off to you?
Hey Tara, Sounds good to me. I think if we can have it the week after next that would be okay. So the 18th or 19th. That okay? Totally agree in terms of style. Thanks!
Thanks Chelsea, that's much better *but* I don't think I see a copy bug, and copy needs to be done first before we can do these. So, once that is filed (and if I've missed it please add it to this bug for reference) then we can estimate time to complete designs.
Hey Jacyln, Caitlin told me that you were going to file the copy bug for these buttons. She sent along some suggested wording as reference to me, so I can file if you need me to. Otherwise, if you want to file the bug, please reference it here for Tara. Thanks! C
Copy Bug is 669732. Tara I'll let you know when it's ready for design. Thanks! C
Assigning to Lee. Copy is here: > It's your Web, anywhere you go > Download Firefox for Android > Get the Web on the go > Download Firefox for Android > Take your Web with you > Download Firefox for Android

Hi all, I built out all 3 colorways and copy versions for the 300 x 250px assets: http://cl.ly/2R1H170e2G3k0W3G2R38 The 160x600 and 125x125 versions may require a slightly different type treatment to accommodate the copy (please let me know if copy changes for these other versions), but the colors and general style will remain the same. Thanks!
Thanks Lee. This is a great start. I think they look great *but* we're not really highlighting the "Android" message here as much as I'd like. It's squished into the download ribbon and I think it needs to be called out more. otherwise, at a quick glance, this looks like a general Firefox download button vs. one for mobile.
A couple questions: - How much Android presence do we need to have on these buttons - 50%? Do we want/need to use the Android logo? This is a CTA to DL Firefox, so it seems reasonable to be FF-centric, right? - Are we trying to make our general buttons look different than our mobile buttons? If so, can you reference the preferable style of a mobile button?
(In reply to comment #10) > A couple questions: > > - How much Android presence do we need to have on these buttons - 50%? Do we > want/need to use the Android logo? This is a CTA to DL Firefox, so it seems > reasonable to be FF-centric, right? These are definitely FF centric as they are for Firefox. So it's fine to have a big FF logo, etc. and we're not looking to have the Android logo here. But we do need to pump up the word "Android" so that it's clear what platform / mobile device these are for. Since the buttons are styled similar to the ones we have for desktop, and generally are specific to a particular device, that needs to be clear. > > - Are we trying to make our general buttons look different than our mobile > buttons? If so, can you reference the preferable style of a mobile button? We discussed having the same style as the ones we did for desktop (there are two: the chat bubble and the more square-cut ones) You should have both in your files. Seems like the chat bubble ones are not as flexible, so we've generally gone with the other ones. But we were open to both depending on what looked best. Same style, just different messaging. Hope that helps.

looks good, thanks Lee!
You're welcome! Glad you like 'em.
Hey Lee, are these files good for final then? If so we can close this bad boy. :)
Yeah, the link in comment 12 gets you to both the working files and the PNGs - which are sized and ready to go.

Attached image mobile button with typo
Hey Lee, One of the localizers just found a typo in a PSD. There is a "o" missing from "Download" at mobile_dl_300x250_blu_1.png Can you correct it and upload it when you have a sec? Thanks!
