seen on Linux commercial build 2001-01-29-06 -compose a mail message with japanese in subject field and in main body -send that message -get that message and read it expected results: japanese views correctly in both subject and body tested results: japanese views fine in subject field but is garbled in body of mail message.
Did you set a charset to Japanese ("View -> Character Coding -> Japanese (ISO-2022-JP)") before sending the message?

I can't reproduce the problem on my machine (RH 6.2-J) either using an IMAP or POP account.
I also checked both HTML and plain text Japanese mail.
tried again for the third time and it works.....marking invalid as I can't repro on the same machine I reported against
