The GtkEmbed needs to enable the IME so intl characters can be typed in.

Brian,

I can work on this problem which had been reported in but 50130 and
I had worked on this. I suggest to close this bug as dup of 50130.

bug 50130 seems slightly different. It does talk about the IME although a bit
indirectly. If we change 50130's subject to GtkEmbed IME then I'd agree we
close this as a dup.

Added patch just for GtkEmbed. Nakai-san of redhat Japan posted the patch
in gnome-devel japanese mailing list. Also 50130 should be fixed. The proposed
patch has been provided in 53989. I'll attach revised version soon.

I see the IME enabled in URL bar only.  I cannot type anything in text area 
-other bug 81729
