Blue background
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110615151330 Steps to reproduce: Start Thunderbird. Actual results: Message panes briefly have a light blue background before the Inbox folder contents are loaded and the background changes to white. Flicker is noticeable. Both screen shots attached.

Does it flickers too if you start in -safe-mode (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe-Mode) ?

Yes, it's the same in safe mode. I'm not sure if "flicker" is the right way to describe it, but it's a little visually jarring. Thunderbird opens the most recently used folder when it launches, but there's a split-second delay after it starts (with the blue background) and before it opens the folder.

Yes, it still happens in 11.0.1. I've just gotten used to it.
