User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:126.96.36.199) Gecko/20110628 Ubuntu/10.10 (maverick) Firefox/3.6.18 Build ID: 20110628231248 Steps to reproduce: Use certain smiley codes in plain text email that are supported by widely used instant messengers, email clients and social sites such as Facebook: - laughing :D (already supported :-D ) - embarrassed :[ (already supported :-[ ) - undecided :\ :S :-S :s :-s (already supported :-\ ) - tongue :P :p ;P ;p (already supported :-P :-p ;-P ;-p ) - surprise :O :-O :o :-o (already supported =-O =-o ) - kiss :* (already supported :-* ) - cool 8) 8| 8-| (already supported 8-) ) - money :$ (already supported :-$ ) - foot :! (already supported :-! ) - sealed :X :x (already supported :-X :-x ) Actual results: The available smiley icons were not used (only for the already existing support). Expected results: The available smileys should appear. Extending simley code support will increase user satisfaction reading and writing emails in Thunderbird because the end user can use a wider and more consistent range of already know smiley codes also used by other applications.
Summary: Extra codes for exiting smileys → Extra codes for existing smileys
