With newly installed M18 build (in addition to Mozilla 0.7), any attempt to open a new composition window fails, with the error message: "An Error Occurred While Creating a Message Compose Window. Please Try Again. ReferenceError: EditorSharedStatup is not defined."
Why install M18? It is older than 0.7. Maybe you meant a latest nightly? It is more than likely a profile issue. Please try with a fresh profile and see if it works. Please provide us with the buildID (in the titlebar) if it is a latest build, or uninstall M18 if it was really M18, because that's asking for trouble. Thanks for using Mozilla, Fabian.
actually i haven't seen this until today's build (2001013004). Never had the problem with m18 or any previous builds. using win2k. anyone else seeing this?
Yes, this is reproducing for me too. Tested under Win 98 with the 2001013004 build.

Basically, clicking on New Message button in Mail will causes this message to appear.
I discovered bug in latest nightly build 2001013004, not M18 as earlier stated. I got "M18" from the About dialog, which I assumed was changed with each build. Silly me. Creating a new profile, as suggested above, does NOT fix the problem.
caused by bug 67044 that has just been fixed?

This *is* bug 67044 which was about this error popping up when Mailnews tried to create a new message (which we do in Reply, but we fill in the previous email text in it.) I think mkaply has either fixed this, or is fixing it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 67044 ***
