User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110615151330 Steps to reproduce: Autocomplete in address-bar is truly not working very good. It works for some URL's, but not for other. Another annoying thing I see is that if I have visited e.g.: URL A) www.google.com and URL B) http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/ Then for somereason when I started typing: goo Then firefox autocompleted URL B. Why on earth autocomplete the longest domain-name, makes no sense to me. By some reason www.vg.no, is never beeing autocompleted. Why. One other thing. Why is not Autocomplete ON by default, after installing Firefox. Is it because it is not regarded as a functioning feature ... or....? Hope Firefox dev. team can take a look at how this works in Google Chrome, there it works very well. Using Firefox 5.0

ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110712 Firefox/8.0a1 Please refer to bug 659437 - that is tracking autocomplete cases and check if this issue has not yet been reported. AFAIK this feature is still in development, so this issue could be taken into consideration as a NEW bug.

I'm going to close this because there have been significant changes to autofill since this bug was filed and hopefully it should be smarter about learning the URLs you visit often. We also have various related newer more useful and specific open bugs on possible improvements to autofill.
