Steps to reproduce:

This problem is ALWAYS:
1. I'm going to YouTube.
2. I'm choosing (any) video to watch.
3. Video is loading and playing automatically. (to this moment is all ok)


Actual results:

4. After about 5 seconds Firefox windows freezes and sound often is still playing.
5. Sound freezes after X seconds (especially when I click Firefox window).


Expected results:

Videos should be playing without freeze.

PS: When Firefox is frozen, Firefox is using about 0% CPU and <100MB RAM.

PS2: To unfreeze Firefox, I have to close process in Task Manager.

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

What version of flash player do you have installed? http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I've deleted all Firefox data (files and registry keys) before reinstalling Firefox and Flash Player.

Problem exists in Safe Mode.

Movies in HTML5 are playing normally.
I noticed that sometimes when I only click link to the video and after that I'll only watch video (without moving mouse cursor and clicking), the video is playing normally long time.

I installed Firefox 3.5.14 and Flash Player 10.0.12.36.
Problem disappeared, but after auto-update to 3.6.18 the problem came back.

It must be a Firefox bug, because in other browsers is all ok. I think it can be related to my hardware/software, because nobody hasn't submitted this bug.

MEGA UPDATE

After some testing I know what caused this problem. It's not Firefox issue directly. This problem is caused by process asghost.exe, which is used by HP ProtectTools to manage passwords by using fingerprint sensor. This process checks any ran app to find login/password form (it's called SSO - Sigle Sign On).

To SKIP the problem do this: http://helpspa.com/other/disable-hp-protect-tools-credential-manager-single-sign-on-popup/
or disable asghost.exe process.

To FIX the problem FIREFOX DEVELOPERS should analyse this ISSUE.
