Steps to reproduce:

I clicked on a photo on faceboo.


Actual results:

A pop-out appeared, but the original page always scrolls to the middle no matter where its at before the pop-out.


Expected results:

The origina page should stay at the same place.

I think I have noticed the same behaviour that is causing some side effects with embedded Flash media.  It seems the original page in the background is reloaded and then scrolled down to what FF thinks is the original position?  Because the background is reloaded, the embedded flash media that have been played begins replaying again.  Can you check my bug report https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=670729 to see if it occurs for you as well?  If it does, I'll fold my bug report into this one as I think it's the same bug.

Yes this is exactly what's happening, the original page always reloads and scrolls to some random position. I think if somehow we can stop the original page from reloading both of our problems will be solved. This is strange since FF seems to be the only browser which insists on reloading the original page.

reporter, do you see this issue when using a current version of firefox (version 13 or newer) started in safe mode - http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe%20mode - with most current version of flash if appropriate ?
