Details

Need pref to manage "Disk Space" used by news threads Currently, there seems to be no way to get rid of news threads or headers that have been downloaded and are just taking up space on the hard drive. NC4.x has a pref to delete threads that were older than x days or if there were more than y threads. Basically, all prefs from NC4.x under mail-newsgroups - DISK SPACE should be implemented. This is a critical bug since if the disk space usage increases unbounded, there will be serious performance and stability issues.
Severity: major → critical
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla0.9
This is scheduled to be implemented as part of the offline mail/news feature support. The prefs will likely be accessible in the Account Manager and possibly in group properties dialog. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 17217 ***
