Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C)

Steps to reproduce:

When started, firefox is frozen and does not respond to any mouse click or typing. This happened after some Microsoft security updates were automatically installed.

Actual results:

I uninstalled Firefox. I deleted c:\program files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox. I reinstalled Firefox. It still is frozen. I cannot even close firefox. I have to end the process through the task manager.
As soon as Firefox started, I hit 'Help' and restarted in safe mode. I noticed there is a second or two before it freezes entirely to do this.

After starting in safemode, it seems to work, but what is the solution to unfreeze it now?
The safemode is doing 2 things but the important thing is that it disables all installed extensions.
Please manually disable all installed extensions in (alt key)/tools/addons/extensions and restart Firefox in the normal mode.
Severity: normal → S3
