User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0a2) Gecko/20110718 Firefox/7.0a2 Build ID: 20110718182054 Steps to reproduce: I had two browser windows open. Installed an add-on and restarted Firefox as requested. Actual results: In the second window the first tab is missing even though the page loads. You can only access it via ALT+1 or the "List all tabs" drop down. The new tab button is on the far left, not the far right. Expected results: Tabs should display, new tab button should be on far right.

I've also reproduced this with a nightly from the Ubuntu PPA (8.0~a1~hg20110719r72955+nobinonly-0ubuntu1~umd1~natty).

Restarting in safe mode this error does not occur. However, only disabling the most recent add-on does not make it go away. By process of elimination it's the Readability add-on.

Please report to the developers of the readibility addon.

I also reported this to them last week. I didn't see anything pop out at me in the code, but it was definitely that extension.

For information if anyone has this about now 4 July 2012 This or similar has surfaced again with addon/bypassadfly apparently the culprit All calm seems restored on removing addon/bypassadfly and restarting. I am currently using linux livedvd Mint 13 MATE "FF 12.0 - FF for mint 1.0" Neither the drop-down tab-list icon, nor the group-tabs icon visible unless using "customize" (when they aren't active) These icons can be customize-moved in-board, then they stay accessible & functional. However, the first tab of each page is invisible, apparently gone off to the left of display, and the newtab just showing as a plain + rather than a + in tab's clothing. ** More worrying: I had an instance of file manager in my Mint panel, and the proper icon of nautilus changed to the dark house of FF. Creepy. Killed it & reloaded file manager, the proper icon restored. Who knows what other hidden mischief my have transpired. I can't help but feel that it should *not be possible* for an add-on to step outside in this way, it could be exploitable.

I spoke too soon. Customize no longer works.
