This is due to lacking values in the URI, it seems the webapp doesn't handle that. Not related to ElasticSearch or the middleware.

Attachment: Changes the query string parser to treat valueless string keys as if they have a single empty value

The custom url handler was throwing an exception because it anticipated all of the args to have an '='.
