Here's an image with some changes listed that would make the new SUMO top section more closely match the initial design (bug 669840).

The new Search Box content will be too long for verbose languages such as French. "What do you need help with?" can be translated to "Sur quoi avez-vous besoin d'aide ?" (34 displayed characters) in French. The current Search Box contains "Recherche dans l'aide de Firefox" (32 displayed characters) in French, that already renders as follow: Current Search Box long version (33 allowed written characters): https://support.allizom.org/fr/home Current Search Box short version (26 allowed written characters): https://support.allizom.org/fr/forums

Landed changes: https://github.com/jsocol/kitsune/commit/52d6c85d666cb3aa88e1bf6c72dd9f9fb7346753 BTW, I experimented with removing nurse cat. It allows us to bring the content up even more and make the search box wider: http://cl.ly/0s3g3C1l2A1X401X430g

This looks great. One more minor thing is the scaling on the cat - she has jagged edges. Please lets not talk about getting rid of the cat unless we're talking about replacing her with another critter.

On an article the applications menu drops down under the Article tab. I actually think we should just scrap the Other Applications menu.

Ricky, could you make the searchbar wider? it should probably end with "thunderbird" in the line above.

The title is aligned on the right in IE 9. The title takes two seconds to display while switching between desktop and mobile.

If you have photoshop-fu skills and want to give it a try. Images are: http://support.mozilla.com/media/img/nurse.png and: http://support.mozilla.com/media/img/nurse.mobile.png

The problem was with scaling the index color png. It needs to be done with the original photoshop image. I had one of the desktop cat but I don't have one of the mobile cat. Do you?

I found the original PSD attached to Bug 607983

Hi everyone: can we please file separate bugs rather than piling on this one? Small bugs with specific change requests mean multiple people can work on changes simultaneously. One bug with "all changes ever" is much harder to split up and track. Thanks.

Verified new implementation was put in- bugs are opened for the 8/2 & 8/9 release to fix the issues.
