steps to reproduce:
1. Load https://addons.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/i/collections/?sort=popular
2. Note the number of followers for that collection.
3. Click on 'Follow this Collection' for one of the listed collection.


expected behavior:
# of new followers is incremented by one.

actual behavior:
New followers count is not updating

cvan says it is not caching. So, it is not the same as bug 495267
