This seems to be related to bug 555595.

It looks like the real issue here is that these pages do not exist in the German localization of the MDN.

I went through URLs in German l10n and changed non-existent German URLs to English ones.

Something to consider: The HTMLElement template could be updated to route links to the English wiki automatically if the pages don't exist in the locale the user is using. The Chinese localizers have made changes like that to some of these templates.

Leaving this bug open in case Florian would like to do that. If not, please close this bug.

I don't plan to tweak the HTMLElement template, but will leave this bug open until my changes are on the production page (which is not the case right now, because somehow my commit on verbatim got lost or so)

It's fixed on production for the German locale now. 

Bad redirects are handled in bug 555595 and a fall back to English versions when localized versions are not available is proposed in bug 591902.
Hopefully both issues will be solved by Kuma.
