Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.75 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.17-21mdk i686) BuildID: 2001013010 Size of child window and unavailable plugins equals to the parent browser window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. make sure that no FLASH plugin is installed into the mozilla/plugins directory; clear caches; restart mozilla 2. go to a page that requries a FLASH plugin 3. see the size of the grey popup-window says no appropriate plugin installed. or 2. goto a page that will generate a small browser window (i often try http://turn.to/go) Actual Results: the window size generated is equal to the browsing window. Expected Results: window size similiar to 'ftp download status', 'security warning' is much more reasonable. Recent builds run on Windows do not having such behaviour. This just happened on Mandrake 7.2. The same site works OK when using Netvigator 4.72, also in Mandrake 7.2.
Could you please try a fresh profile and see whether the problem persists? I am not seeing this problem with the same mozilla build...
Reporter: Which window-manager do you use, and are you using a matcher for window *class* to size browser windows to a certain size? Or "Remember window size" ? If so, you are seeing a side-effect of bug 29856 "*nix only : Window Class the same for all mozilla windows".
I think this should depend on bug 29856 rather than be a duplicate. I don't see this problem, but as R.K.Aa pointed it could happen because of that window manager feature.
