Steps to reproduce:

Scrolling of pages with layered content (such as absolutely positioned elements one on top of each other) is glitchy. When you scroll, images are broken into pieces and some pieces are rendered first, others later, untill the correct layout is finally recomposed.

To see it easily:
1. open Facebook
2. Visit someone's profile and open an album with many fotos
3. Click on a foto, so that it appears in a lightbox on top of the page
4. scroll the page and enjoy the glitches


Actual results:

scrolling is glitchy


Expected results:

scrolling should be smooth. If it has to take a while to render, then it should only show the result when it can be rendered properly.

Tested on Linux (can't believe there's not a field in the form for that)

Hi, I think I don't observe this any more on Firefox 6 (though the facebook photo layout has changed in the meantime, but I think it is still a test case).

Now instead scrolling (and everything else) is just painfully slow.
