https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/6.0/releasenotes/ Under FAQ, we point to support for instructions on how to switch to the release channel. We should just link to the download page because the SUMO instructions don't work (and we've determined that it's not worth putting together and maintaining extra instructions for channel switching if it's just installing Firefox.)
We already have a bug on this and I actually submitted an edit to the SUMO article and it hasn't been approved I guess. I'll hunt around for the bug to dupe this to.
We should just change the release notes to read: 2. How do I stop testing beta versions of Firefox? If you do not wish to participate in the beta program, you can switch to the release channel by simply installing the latest released version of Firefox. [link "latest released version of Firefox to mozilla.com] I'd like to completely delete the sumo document. It was only created to support the feature that is now removed.
The Firefox 7 Beta release notes* also need to be changed to remove the link to the archived and outdated "How do I switch update channels?" article. * http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/7.0beta/releasenotes/ Discussion: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-switch-update-channels/discuss/1816
