Details
If two browser windows are open, the "Find in this Page" dialog will only appear the first time the "Search/Find in this Page" menu is selected or Ctrl+F is used. To reproduce: 1) Open 2 browser windows. 2) Click in the body of the second window. (This is very important.) 3) Press Ctrl+F or pick the "Search/Find in this Page" menu item. 4) Dismiss the dialog with Cancel. 5) Repeat step 3. The Find dialog does not show. Tested with Mozilla 2001020306 on Linux and the previous day's build on NT4. Sorry I do not know the correct component.

My step 1 is not specific enough. Replace it with: 0) Start Mozilla. 1) Open a second browser window. I used Ctrl-N. 2) Proceed to step 2 above.

Yes, and likely some of the other mysterious problems with the "second window" are also due to the problem underlying that bug. Closing this one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 54936 ***
