Our new pagination doesn't allow you to visit specific pages.

Holding down the Previous or Next button for more than a second should start scrubbing in that direction.

For example, holding down the Next button on page 1 should change the button text to:
Page 3
Page 4
Page 5
...

and releasing the button should go to that page.

How will people discover and use this UI?

This is filed under useful/delightful features that people who discover will find it cool but most users will never know about. It's not something I'm putting in a milestone but an idea I'm throwing out that hopefully a dev will also find cool and implement on their own because they want the site to be polished and fun.

I had considered making the x part of "page x of n" a hover-menu to enable this

Thanks for filing this.  Due to resource constraints we are closing bugs which we won't realistically be able to fix.  If you have a patch that applies to this bug please reopen.
