Actual results:
When loading remote content from an email there is no indication that content is loading. The mail simply looks blank upon being opened, and the user has no idea that if he should just wait a bit then the content will appear. This is especially troublesome for mails that consist entirely of images from senders that have been marked as always allowing remote content.

Yes, I can reproduce this issue in Tbird 31.1.2 by disconnecting from the intercords and then browsing to an HTML message with embedded images.
