Just installed 5.0 Tried to use this AM. It gives me an error, "Error getting mail password." There does not appear to be any way around this to get to my mail.

Steps to reproduce:
Tried to use new version of Thunderbird.
Actual results:
When I selected my profile (3 profiles on this machine) I got the "Error getting mail password" message.
Expected results:
Should have been prompted to enter my password.

Anything in Tools -> Error console ?
Does starting in -safe-mode helps (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe-Mode) ?
Did you install or use the update mechanism to get the new version ?
