When accessing a site that loads a 32-bit plugin (e.g. Silverlight), Firefox shows a warning "This page asks to use a plugin that can only run in 32-bit mode", and a button to restart in 32-bit mode.

This warning should identify the offending plugin and or provide a link to get more information. It was easy for me to determine that the plugin was silverlight, but if this appeared on a different page it might cause some confusion for users.

Yes, it should ideally say something like "This page asks to use the Silverlight plugin that can only be run in 32-bit mode".

Ah, love Bugzilla conflict resolution.

Bug 598397 removed Carbon plugin support, and bug 850925 is ripping out the no-longer-used remnants of this UI. Woo.
