1. go to http://www.quirksmode.org/m/tests/drag.html
2. drag the "drag me" object to the lower left

Expected: the content might scroll to the left, but will keep the same zoom level
Actual: a pinch zoom effect occurs.

There is a relationship with bug 666260 here.
Absolute positioned elements and floated elements aren't taken in to consideration for zooming to the viewport on the stock Android browser, so you don't see the problem there.

There is a certain value at which Fennec doesn't zoom out any further.

This is better comparable to stock Android browser.

When using widths, which make the body wider, stock Android browser zooms out, too. But when the width of the div is reduced again, it doesn't zoom in anymore.

Anyway, as mentioned in bug 666260, stock Android browser only zooms out when the width of the body gets wider. I think Fennec should do the same.

Tested the testcases using current trunk build on the Galaxy Nexus. Fennec doesn't seem to do any zooming out dynamically when elements get moved out of the viewport.

So I think this bug can be marked worksforme.
