User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110615151330 Steps to reproduce: Tools->Sync Now Actual results: I received the warning above the status bar: "Sync encountered and error while syncing, Unknown error" Expected results: Sync should have completed with no warnings or errors
I get no errors/warnings when run from either of my Macs or from the iPhone Firefox Home app. Further, it appears that syncing is actually working as changes to my bookmarks are propagated even though I keep getting the error.

There are records on the server (uploaded by one of your clients) that have been encrypted with the wrong key. Fixes for this have trickled out in each Firefox release; we believe the final hole has been plugged in what will be Firefox 7, due later this year. The easiest solution for you is to open Sync preferences on one of your machines, choose "My Sync Key" and generate a new one. You'll need to enter the new key on your other devices, but this will guarantee that they all agree. Give that a shot and let me know how you get on!
Thanks much Richard. Your steps appear to have solved it.
Glad to hear it. Thanks for letting us know.
