User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0 Build ID: 20110804030150 Steps to reproduce: complaint 1 http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25916 complaint 2 http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/6509 complaint 3 http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/27302 complaint 4 http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/73562 all complaints http://userscripts.org/scripts/search?page=2&q=amo&sort=installs 1. see a random add-on name 2. do you remember this add-on? If yes, you already have it installed or already decided to not use it (there are two alternatives, so you definitely end having 1 pain) If no, your memory isn't perfect 3. read the beginning of the description 4. do you remember that add-on now? If yes, you already have it installed or already decided to not use it (there are two alternatives, so you definitely end having 1 pain) If no, it's a new add-on, finally happiness 5. you can sort by downloads, users and rating to mix the add-ons again Actual results: I had to read add-on names and add-on description beginnings again Expected results: I can mark add-ons "simply bad", "bad, but a new version may fix the bugs and make it good" and "simply good".
instead of all complaints, I mean other complaints
A drop down menu with: - bad - bad, but a new version may fix the bugs and make it good - good - incompatible with stable version's waiting police - create new private tag - send to moderation new public tag If I add excellent, very good, bad, very bad and horrible, I would have redundant average rating, so please, don't let people add anything.
*redundant rating, which isn't needed, because average rating is even better
I don't understand this bug. Are you saying you wish for AMO to support individual add-on ratings that affect which add-ons are shown on the site for only you?
No. I want amo members to be able to tag add-ons and click a tag to see a list of add-ons that were tagged with that tag. For example, there's an add-on called Snap Links Plus. In a Windows desktop, when you want to select multiple icons with the mouse, you hold the left button and move the mouse, creating a square that surrounds the multiple icons that you want to choose. Snap Links Plus clicks links by holding down the right button instead of the left button. As far as I know, Snap Links Plus is incompatible with the current stable Firefox version and I waited a long time for it to be compatible, but it still isn't, so it's an add-on that I would have tagged "incompatible with stable version's waiting police", because I want to rename it and recode it to work with the current stable version - at least, becase actually I use a beta version. I don't remember perfectly, but I have the impression and feeling that there were many add-ons that I would have tagged "incompatible with stable version's waiting police". I would see them as a list and decide what to rename and recode. For example, like the above impression and feelings, there are many add-ons that I would have tagged "bad, but would be good if debugged". Instead of an add-on, I can give an example of a site. Digg. I waited and visited it sometimes to see if it would listen to me, but it didn't. I gave up. If Digg was an add-on, I would have tagged it "bad, but would be good if debugged", because I think it's broken and if it was fixed, it would be good. By the way, there are add-ons that have goals that I don't care about, so if they were broken, even if they were debugged, I wouldn't use them and I wouldn't tag them "bad, but would be good if debugged". Finally, there are add-ons that I want to mark read (makes add-on title yellow) and mark unread (makes add-on title go back to normal) or better, bad instead of read, because usually they're add-ons whose goals I don't care about and good, because usually I already have them installed, so I don't want to see them again.
Please, show tags that you already decided that are helpful.
I've recently visited the new amo and it looks cool
but it still doesn't have add-on tags including already decided add-on tags!
I want to create groups of add-ons for myself like I can create groups of bookmarks for myself, so no copying-and-pasting add-on names. Thanks a lot!
