When hitting https://mozilla.com, it redirects too many times:
-> http://www.mozilla.com
-> https://www.mozilla.com
-> https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/...
Ideally we'd only do one redirect (to add www. and the locale at the same time).
Further, we should never redirect from https to http.

Fred - Thanks for reporting. We want to remove needless redirects where possible.
Chrissie - Perhaps we can tackle, or are tackling, this during the site merge? Feel free to mark as a dup or assign it to a webdev who can help investigate.

I think it's out of scope for the merge, but it's possible that it'll be solved as a side effect of the global redirect from mozilla.com/ to mozilla.org/firefox.
Leaving assigned to me, will take a close look at post-merge.
