678450 - Full screen portrait VKB view converts ascii characters to Asterisks in text field

For phones that have full screen VKB display, the email textbox (input type=text), seems to convert ascii characters to *'s.  

This doesnt reproduce on stock, and stock doesnt cover the whole screen with VKB.

Repro:
1) install Firefox 6 beta 6, Nexus S phone: Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:6.0) Gecko/20110810 Firefox/6.0 Fennec/6.0
2) visit URL with email address field (eg http://www.linkedin.com)
3) switch to landscape mode
4) go to upper corner, click on email address
5) notice the full screen VKB view appears.   start typing in your email address
6) Verify the email text field converts ascii to asterisks like password types.  This shouldnt happen.

Expected: 
- FS VKB view in a input type =text, should not convert ascii to asterisks

Actual:
- FS VKB view is converting ASCII to Asterisks view in Text input boxes.

Device: Samsung Nexus S
Keyboard: Android Keyboard

Oh yes, I can reproduce this; but only modifying the preference: 'widget.ime.android.landscape_fullscreen' from -1, to 1 to grant fullscreen view.

This issue is reproducing from the very first android builds.
I was able to reproduce it on build from 15 August 2010, location: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/2010/08/2010-08-15-04-mozilla-central-android-r7/fennec.apk

Om any builds before that keyboard does not work in landscape mode.
