Does this happen with the latest version of telemetry addon at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/abouttelemetry/ ?
I can't add the telemetry addon with today's nightly.

Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv71; rv8.0a1) Gecko/20110812 Firefox/8.0a1 Fennec/8.0a1
Device: HTC Flyer
OS: Android 2.3
I have not yet figured out how to make about:telemetry work on mobile firefox. Older versions mistakenly listed it as compatible.

I modded your plugin slightly and going to about:telemetry does seem to work:

The only mod I made was in the install.rdf:
<em:maxVersion>8.*</em:maxVersion>
