Steps to reproduce:

When you copy a lot of mails from a extern News-Server to a local folder, Thunderbird doesn't update the numbers of mails, they are already copied.
During the complete copying the statusbar says:
1 of 8407 Messages to DestinationFolder copied
I hope it is correct translated so, I use the German GUI and there it says:
1 von 8407 Nachrichten nach ZielOrdner kopiert


Actual results:

can you easily reproduce ?

Is Tools -> Activity manager more accurate with regards to numbers ?

Does it happens in -safe-mode too (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe-Mode ) ?
