Currently if and add-on is unreviewed it doesn't show up in the searches or browses. If you end up at the add-on page, it will show you the add-on with a special unreviewed button. If the add-on is premium and the user ends up at the page, should we show a payment button or just a message "This add-on has not been reviewed so cannot be purchased yet." It would suck to buy something only to have it rejected by the review process.
I'm still working on updating the spec and this is one of the cases I added last week: "Once an add-on has enrolled in Marketplace, it should not be available in the gallery, even through a direct link to its URL, until it is approved in order to prevent any free, un-watermarked downloads." Let me know if you disagree.
To specifically address your point, we don't want to sell an add-on that hasn't been reviewed under any circumstances.
Thanks, agree completely. Andy: update addon view to ensure that a premium app is not viewable until it's ready.
