firefox hangs during session .  i try ending process in task manager  it won't end process  
i have to restart which takes forever

Reporter, what were you doing when the hang occured? Can you please be more specific on STR for the issue? A guideline may be found here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Bug_writing_guidelines

Also, are you able to reproduce this if you restart Firefox in safe mode? http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
How about a clean new profile? http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
