Steps to reproduce:
I went to OPtions -> Security and unchecked the Remember Passwords. I then pressed OK.
Actual results:
The next site I visit, FF offers to remember my password again. I check the Options-> Security and find that the Remember Passwords checkbox is still checked.
Expected results:
The Remember Passwords should have remained unchecked and FF should not have offered to Remember Passwords.

Is it being caused due to different versions of Firefox on my system? My system Win 7 Home Ultimate 64 bit. I have FF4 installed. Previously I had ff3.6 installed as well in a different directory. But FF 3.6 was unistalled a few weeks back
Please update to Firefox 6 and let me know if this bug still happens.

I am not able to reproduce this issue on Latest Nightly 27 using Windows 7 x64.
