User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0
Build ID: 20110811165603

Steps to reproduce:

I created a fixed menu on the left site of the browser and 2 icons. the menu ist top:0 and left:0, so it is on the left site. Now when I go over on of that two icons, a panel is animated (with jquery) gone beside of the menu.
This panel has the background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.9) and the position is fixed, too.

Actual results:

after the panel is walking beside the menu, the menu has a display error. There's a white stripe on the top and left of the menu.
I have tried to solve this problem with top: -1px for the menu or #121212 for the background of the panel and that works. But not with rgba.

The Problem is only with the Browser Mozilla Firefox for Windows 7 (maybe only 64bit, I haven't got a 32bit system)

Expected results:

There shouldn't be a white stripe on the menu..

Sounds a bit like bug 677095, except that isn't in Firefox 6.
It could be the same thing. The issue fixed in bug 677095 existed in Firefox 6, it just wasn't triggered by the steps in bug 677095.

Ninos, can you try this in a nightly build? If it's fixed there, we probably fixed it in bug 677095.

In the FF 8a1 for Windows 7 64 bit, the bug is still there.
But I have found may something interesting. If my browser is in fullscreen (with FF6, FF7beta and FF8a), the bug is fixed and there are no display errors. So I think there's a Problem with the Windows theme or somethink like that.

Oh I'm sorry, in the Nightly FF9 for Windows the bug is a little bit fixed, but not completly. The white stripe is smaller than before.
On this site maybe you can see the error better. http://onn.ninosego.com/ (go over an Icon of the menu..)(In reply to Robert O'Callahan (:roc) (Mozilla Corporation) from comment #4)

Only in the fullscreen-mode the error is not to be seen.
