I see this on all platforms
1 Open the attached file in Composer
2 Highlight the contents of cell 1 with mouse and hit CTRL-X
3 Observe that as the text disappears the width of the cell doubles.
Expected: Cell width should not change.

shrir -- does it stay doubled or does it snap back to normal if you force a
redisplay?
giving this one to cmanske

Correctiong summary. I meant 'cell height'. No it does not snap back to normal
upon forcing a redisplay.
Summary: Selecting text in composer cell and CTRL-X increases cell width → Selecting text in composer cell and CTRL-X increases cell height

Beth: Do you see this behavior? I don't, though my tree is up to date as of
2/6, i.e., not yesterday's build.
If this is really happening, it belongs to layout (Karnaze?)
Shrirang: After you see the cell width double, click on "HTML Source" tab and
view the source -- does it look correct? Switching back to "Normal" will
probably redraw the table correctly.

This is still happening on windows trunk 0208. After the cell height doubles, in
the View Source, I see that ' ' are getting added to the first <td>. Also,
switching back to normal mode does not redraw the table correctly. Will show
this to you tomorrow morning....

I still cannot reproduce! I also don't see the " " you mention, so maybe
jfrancis fixed something that solved this as well?
Joe?
Please test again.

How are you "highlighting the contents of cell 1"?
Ctrl+click to select entire cell? Drag selecting contents?

drag selecting contents (right to left), sorry i should have mentioned that

I see it now. After doing the cut, using Composer's debug menu items "DOM
Serializer" or "Output HTML" show some funky characters in the cell whose
contents were deleted:
<td valign="Top"><br> ?á ?á ?á </td>
This is cleared out by cycling through HTML Source.
Over to Joe (hopefully a dup!)
