In Advanced Search, I was looking for the Description field.
Please add it.

Hey Nicolas. The description is just a comment, so you can search it that way.

Primo, you have to know that the description in in fact comment 0. The UI says that comments are added to the bug after its creation.
Secundo, the description is the essence of the bug, it is very different from the other comments. I want to search in the description but not in the other comments.
Status: RESOLVED → UNCONFIRMED

I don't see how it is very different from other comments. It doesn't worth the UI and code complexity.

Okay, that makes this a feature request. Yes, for now this is something specific that we won't be adding. I can see the use case for it in some cases, but as LpSolit says, I believe the code complexity could possibly be high, which concerns me, as Search.pm is already very, very complex. For now I would recommend to people to simply search comments.

So change the UI accordingly. Currently it is hard to guess that the description is a comment - actually the UI says the opposite.

The end-users who query bugzilla.mozilla.org must be EXPLICITLY informed that "Description" is actually "Comment 0". I have been such an end-user for years and did not know that until this past week.
Either change the "Description" in the display of a bug report to "Description (Comment 0)" or else change "Comment" in the pull-down list of fields for Advanced Search to be "Description/Comment".
