This works using build 2001020708 with the same profile. History window is
filled and working.

odd. using 2001020721 i can't reproduce this. Autocomplete is still fixed here
far as i see. Dropdown drops down, autocomplete matches OK, and when clicked,
the URL is filled into URL field. (missing dropdown was bug 67435)

Actually its not that simple (changing summary). Autocomplete is mostly working,
sometimes not. The following seems to reproduce it it for me:

1. Launch mozilla
2. enter www.mozilla.org in URL bar and press return (to add it to the URL bar
history)
3. type www.mo in URL bar -> autocomplete works.
4. click submit a bug link on the mozilla.org page
5. type www.mo in URL bar again.

actual result: nothing happens

expected: autocomplete works as before

The issue seems to be the popup. I have two URL starting with www.mo in my
history. If I add a ´z´ in the above scenario, mozilla.org gets filled in again.

another catch: don´t press return (reloading mozilla.org again) in step 3 above.
If I do, autocomplete works in step 5. If I just ignore the first autocomplete
and click the link(step 4), it does no longer work.

In the scenario above, autocoplete worked every time using build 2001020708 with
the same profile.

This may seem hard to reproduce, but I ran into it (no automplete happening) so
often, that I first believed autocomplete was broken altogether.

Mozilla build 2001022311 WinNT Does NOT work
Mozilla build 2001022705 WinNT Works
Mozilla build 2001022705 Linux Works

Must have been tempory regression in sparodic builds.  I would say this is 
fixed unless someone has seen this problem in a newer build than Feb 23rd.

Needs to be OS->All for potential future re-openings because I did see this 
happen with the above Windows build.

set your search string in mail to "EmperorLondoMollari" to filter out these
messages.
