User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/535.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/13.0.782.112 Safari/535.1
Steps to reproduce:
I have a fresh install of thunderbird and downloaded the latest version of lightning. I have created some tasks and events.
Note this has been around since thunderbird 3.0
Has been tested on multiple versions of windows (xp, vista, win7),
multiple internet browsers (ie6, ie7, ie8, firefox, chrome)
Multiple versions of thunderbird (3.0, 3.1, 5.0)
Multiple versions of lightning
Actual results:
When you close out of thunderbird but leave the lightning tasks and event reminders open, when you re-open thunderbird to send a message the message is not moved to your sent box and the receiver may not receive the message (happens less than 15% of the time)
Expected results:
The message should be moved to sent and the message should be received by the receiver.

Hmm strange, I can't possibly imagine how reminders correlate to sending messages. Do you get any error console messages?

to turn on console logging do you add the -console argument after the target on windows or has it been changed?

The Error Console in Tools > Error Console should be sufficient, but otherwise yes. You can also turn on calendar.debug.log and calendar.debug.log.verbose in the advanced config editor (Preferences > Advanced > General > Config Editor)

Sorry for the delay had no power. I have setup Thunderbird as instructed in the previous post. What is the name of the calendar log file, and where is it located?

Attached are the logs from thunderbird's error console. They were copied to a notepad from right clicking on the error and selecting copy then paste.

I have replicated the problem using lightning 1.0b5 with thunderbird 6.0
1. Thunderbird was opened.
2. added a test even with a reminder set for 1 week, save the event saw that the notifier popped up.
3. closed the main windows for thunderbird, left the event notifier up.
4. left the event notifier up for 1 hour.
5. opened up thunderbird, and crated a new message.
6. tried to send the message to myself from another account from the same email host.
7. received the error "There was an error saving the message to the sent items. Retry" and it gives the options: ok or cancel

I assume you've tested this with Lightning disabled? Could you also try on a new profile?

With lighting disabled thunderbird works fine.
Will test with another thunderbird profile.
