Matej-- Chrissie and I are working on the persistent copy to show users when they land on mozilla.org/firefox and are not using the latest version. See attachment for what I have. The scenarios I have are these: 1) Someone who gets to mozilla.com and is on 3.6 or lower. They need a more urgent upgrade message and I want security to be the crux of why they upgrade. I feel like the tone could be stronger, but just needs general clean up. 2) This is test messaging I'd like to use on some 3.6 users that get to mozilla.com. This is a bit less conservative. I like the tone, its just too long. 3) This is messaging I'd like to use on someone who has 4.0 or above, but isn't on the latest. This is harder because the change between 4.0 and 6.0 is less drastic. I want to focus on security and speed as the biggest improvements. This one also needs to be cleaned up, but I think the tone is right. Love to get this is the next day or so so we can get moving on bug 681150.
I cleaned up the copy and wrote a few alts for each headline. Let me know what you think.

Quick question matej-- Greg left this comment in the other bug: "it might not take "less than a minute" to download and install in certain locales where connections can be a bit weaker (e.g. certain parts of Russia). Certain 3.6 and below users might not have broadband either. Would it be good to have an alternative that doesn't mention any duration? Maybe something like "it only takes an instant"?" Any ideas on a better way to explain it while not putting a specific timeline, just promising the idea of "a fast update"?
I think it's definitely stronger if we can say something concrete. Anyone can claim that their update/download will happen quickly, but without something tangible, I worry that people will dismiss it.
