User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0
Build ID: 20110811165603

Steps to reproduce:

Did nothing. Updated/upgraded to FF6 from FF5.

Actual results:

FF6, whether being launched directly by me or being launched by another application, does one open the FF6 window and is "not active". When FF6 is launched only the FF6 task bar button is displayed as if FF6 is being launched in the "minimized" mode. I have do one of three things to display FF6 ... 1) press ALT-TAB and of FF6, 2) click on the FF6 task bar button to open FF6 or 3) RIGHT-CLICK + RESTORE to open FF6. Also, when launched, FF6 should be opening "ON TOP".

Expected results:

When FF6 is launched, it should be "ON TOP" and the window must open fully, not minimized, in an "active" status. By active status I mean the user has immediate use of FF6 without having to open/click anything to allow the user to use FF6.
As of 2011-08-25-1427 PHT/0627 UTC .... Did additional checking. I opened FF6 Add-ons Manager and basically disable all "extensions" and "plug-ins". Then, going through each item, I found that this problem with FF6 is caused by McAfee Site Advisor v3.4.0.143. I don't know if the problem is with McAfee or with FF6. When I disable SiteAdvisor FF6 works and opens as expected; no problems. However, with SiteAdvisor enabled FF6 exhibits the problem described herein. Believe both Mozilla and McAfee need to examine this and submit appropriate fix(es). Please advise and thanks.
Ooops ! Forgot to include the following observation. After opening FF6 Add-ons Manager, McAfee SiteAdvisor is listed in both the "extensions" section and the "plug-ins" section. Don't know if this is normal. I have not noticed this in previous versions of FF. Again, thanks.
Severity: normal → S3
