Can premium addons have their source viewable?

Technically if it was, then a user could spider through the file viewer and build out their own un-watermarked add-on. It's a small barrier, but may or may not be obvious to premier add-on authors when they click that button.
I'm not sure what else they would take that checkbox to mean. I don't think anything should change with free vs premium here.
I think the option should still be available. Some developers don't mind having people copying their non-free products. Open source is still an option for commercial software.
Won't worry about it then.

This was in the original marketplace spec and I think I forgot to put it in the new one, but I think the default should be disabled source viewing for premium add-ons, as opposed to the current default of allowing it for add-ons.

So, I'd suggest when someone enrolls in marketplace we flip the bit and if they want to change it back later, they can.
