Details

There are several times when Firefox would show an OS "browse for file" dialog, such as in upload form fields, or "Save link/image as" for example.

Given the growing importance of being able to use tabs independently of each other, I'd like to see the file browse dialogs be made tab-modal.

I don't know if this is technically achievable without re-implementing the OS dialogs like the alert popup was, but for the record, I am not requesting the native dialogs to be rewritten, since I fear this could result in reduced usability of the said dialogs.
